About the Brewery
King Brewing was founded in 1900, and our history began with the launch of Shiromirin in 1901. Unbound by the constraints of liquor sales licenses, we pursued ease of use and introduced innovative new products that had never existed before: Hinode New Seasoning in 1960 and Hinode Cooking Sake in 1975. These products have enjoyed long-standing support from our customers.
Since then, we have continued to develop products without being confined to traditional categories such as alcoholic beverages or food. As specialists in brewed seasonings—such as mirin and cooking sake—based on our brewing expertise, we have aimed to meet every need in this field.
Currently, “Japanese cuisine” is experiencing a boom. While King Brewing’s products may be considered “secret ingredients,” we believe they are indispensable seasonings that bring out the best in ingredients and support the deep flavors of Japanese cuisine. Home cooking tends to prioritize convenience, and while we strive to meet these needs, we also aim to preserve the traditional cooking methods and flavors of Japanese cuisine.
King Brewing is by no means a large company. Rather than aiming for expansion, our goal is to create an environment where our employees feel they work for a “great company” and produce “great products,” enabling them to work with confidence and joy. Through the products and work that result from this, we strive to become a company that consumers, business partners, and the local community will naturally recognize as a “great company” offering “great products.”
While upholding the founder’s spirit, we will continue to enhance our development capabilities and technical expertise to propose new flavors and innovative ways to enjoy our products. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
