The Kawagoe City Industry and Tourism Center “Koedo Kurari” is a community facility created by renovating the former Kagamiyama Sake Brewery while preserving its historic atmosphere. It was opened in October 2010 and showcases Kawagoe’s history, culture, and local products.
The facility uses buildings from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods and is divided into four areas: the Souvenir Shop (Meiji-gura), the Restaurant (Taisho-gura), the Sake Tasting Room (Showa-gura), and the Exhibition Space (Tenji-gura).
It is a place where residents and visitors can gather, relax, and enjoy Kawagoe’s local food, sake, and culture. The name “Koedo Kurari” reflects the idea of a welcoming place inspired by Kawagoe’s historic Edo-period streetscape.
