The Taisho-kura building, which houses the "Makanaidokoro," was constructed in the early Taisho period. The interior features a spacious, open layout with no partitions; with virtually no renovations, it retains the appearance of a typical sake brewery to this day.
At the restaurant "Hasshutei," we offer an abundance of locally sourced dishes that "Little Edo" is proud of. Please enjoy our cuisine in the relaxed atmosphere of the brewery, featuring our carefully crafted handmade soba noodles, sweet potato-themed set meals, and Musashino udon, paired with rare sake from Kagamiyama Brewery. Accompany your meal with delicacies such as Kawagoe San'en pork braised in soy sauce and other ingredients with ties to Kawagoe.

Kawagoe's Famous Eel Rice Bowl
Our fragrantly grilled eel is crispy on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside, releasing a rich, premium umami flavor the moment it touches your tongue. The sauce has a light, refreshing taste that isn’t overpowering, perfectly complementing the eel’s natural flavor. It pairs wonderfully with rice, ensuring you’ll enjoy every last bite. This is a must-try local specialty when visiting Kawagoe.
We begin preparing your order as soon as you place it, so please allow some time for it to be served.

Hitsumabushi
Hitsumabushi at Hachushutei offers a luxurious way to savor deliciously grilled eel. First, enjoy the eel’s natural umami on its own; for the second serving, add shiso leaves and condiments for a refreshing twist; and for the third, pour our flavorful broth over the rice to enjoy it as ochazuke. This satisfying dish lets you enjoy a variety of flavors. We invite you to take your time and savor it during your visit to Kawagoe.
