About the Brewery
Founded in 1875 in Shintomi-cho (1-19-1 Shintomi-cho, Kawagoe City), the former Kagamiyama Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. has long been beloved by many for its locally brewed sake, produced with a commitment to quality above all else.
However, to the regret of many, the company ceased sake production on September 30, 2000.
Six years later, driven by passionate calls for a revival from the local community in "Little Edo" Kawagoe—the town of sake breweries—and with the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders, we established "Little Edo Kagamiyama Sake Brewery Co., Ltd." in Nakamachi, Kawagoe City.
As a local sake of "Little Edo" Kawagoe, the town of sake breweries, we are dedicating ourselves every day to the revival and production of the refined, premium Kagamiyama sake. The brewery was completed on February 1, 2007, and we began the long-awaited brewing process on February 5 of the same year.
"Little Edo Kagamiyama Brewery Co., Ltd." aims to brew sake in the spirit of "learning from the past to innovate for the future," carrying on the traditions of the historic "Kagamiyama" brand while pursuing flavors that resonate with the times.
